Davenergy evaluated 47 buildings, encompassing 1,359,753 square feet, at VAMC Long Beach in VISN 22. The energy assessment included a building-by-building evaluation of existing conditions encompassing all major equipment/system types. Cost-effective energy and water conservation measures were identified that reduce utility consumption, costs, and the greenhouse gas footprint. ECMs identified resulted in 97,225 MMBtu and $1,710,032 savings in energy usage and cost, respectively.  This is a 37% reduction in energy usage and a 40% reduction in cost.
