Davenergy conducted a facility energy assessment (EA) project for three VA medical campuses encompassing 5,039,000 square feet at VAMC West Los Angeles, VAMC Sepulveda, and Los Angeles Acute Care Clinic. The purpose of the EA program was to assist the VA Department in identifying cost-effective energy and water conservation measures and thus fulfill the goal of reducing energy costs and the greenhouse gas footprint of this VA campus. The assessment included a building-by-building evaluation of existing conditions encompassing all major equipment/system types. Cost-effective energy and water conservation measures were identified to reduce utility consumption, costs, and the greenhouse gas footprint of each of the campuses. This is a 30% reduction in energy usage and a 42% reduction in cost.
