Davenergy conducted ASHRAE Level II building energy assessment and analysis for the United States Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Mount Morris Dam Facility in Mount Morris, NY. The Mount Morris site consists of five buildings and a flood control superstructure initially built in the 1950’s. The primary purpose of the dam is flood control, but the Mt Morris location also provides public access for education and outreach programs hosted in the visitor’s center. ECM’s identified will save over $5,500 per year with a simple payback of 2.3 years; a 17% cost savings. The corresponding energy savings of 175 MMBtu/yr will result in an 18% reduction in energy intensity.
