This project designed the upgrade and current compliance of the USP800 standards, as upgraded from USP797, for the safe handling of hazardous drugs. This requires design development and specification documents for ensuring compliance with USP800 in the inpatient pharmacy located in the basement of building 203. Davenergy prepared design development drawings, installation drawings, and compliance plan with gap analysis report, product specifications, construction documents, and cost estimates for ensuring existing Inpatient Pharmacy (Room BA-2, BA-5, BA-6, BA-7A/7B/7C) meets updated standards. The project involves the modification of the existing inpatient pharmacy compounding area and created a contingency 3rd floor compounding area. The pharmacy compounding areas are now compliant with USP 797/800 requirements and VA design standards.
